Sometimes therapy isn’t enough.
Real life happens between therapy appointments.
CCSS provides hands-on support where life is actually happening.
Our Community Support Workers work alongside children, teens, adults, and families to build skills, solve everyday problems, connect with resources, and turn goals into real-life progress.
We don’t tell you what to do. We help you learn how to do it.
What is Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS)?
You might know what you want to change but have trouble figuring out how to make it happen in everyday life. A family may need help creating routines at home. A child may be struggling to use coping skills at school. A teen might need support learning how to communicate their needs. An adult may feel overwhelmed trying to navigate appointments, community resources, work, school, or the responsibilities of daily life.

CCSS is a community-based service that provides practical, hands-on support to help children, teens, adults, and families build skills, overcome barriers, and become more independent. Maybe your child knows coping skills but struggles to use them when they’re upset. Maybe getting out the door every morning feels impossible. Maybe you’re trying to navigate school, appointments, community resources, or daily routines and aren’t sure where to start.
Instead of doing things for you, a Community Support Worker (CSW) works with you.
Your CSW can meet you where life is actually happening — at home, at school, at work, in our office, virtually, or out in the community. Together, you’ll work toward goals that are meaningful to you and practice the skills that can make everyday life a little more manageable. If you’re learning how to grocery shop on a budget, your CSW can work on that skill with you at the store. If you’re overwhelmed by accessing community resources, they can help you learn how to navigate the process. If your child is struggling with routines at home, support can happen where those routines actually take place.
The goal isn’t for your Community Support Worker to become someone you depend on to manage these things for you.
The goal is to help you build the skills, confidence, resources, and connections you need to eventually navigate them more independently.
Who qualifies for CCSS?
CCSS is available to eligible New Mexico Medicaid recipients who meet the state’s criteria for this service.
Not sure whether you or your child qualifies? That’s okay. You don’t need to figure it out on your own.
