Graduate Level Clinical Intern

About the Role

Healing Word LLC is seeking a compassionate, motivated graduate intern who is a master’s-level student in a Social Work or Counseling program to join our team in Moriarty, NM. Our mission is to provide high-quality mental health care to children, teens, and adults—healing trauma, strengthening families, and supporting resilience in the East Mountains and beyond. In this role, you will gain hands-on clinical experience providing therapy to individuals and families under supervision in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.

No prior clinical experience is required—training and supervision will be provided to support your development as a clinician.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and family therapy under clinical supervision
  • Conduct initial assessments and assist in developing individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in Simple Practice
  • Monitor client progress and assist with treatment planning as needed
  • Coordinate care and provide referrals to community resources
  • Use telehealth platforms when indicated
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal requirements
  • Participate in supervision, training, and professional development activities

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a master’s program in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • Eligible for internship or practicum placement per program requirements
  • Strong rapport-building and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and team-oriented
  • Interest in trauma-informed care and evidence-based practice
